Our philosophy is simple, but not so simple to explain. 

  There are a number of ideas that permeate what we do and how we do it:

     - If it cannot be got locally, it probably should not
       be got at all.

     - The fertility of a garden should be grown, as much
        as possible, right in that garden.

     - It is preferable to work without power tools.  This
        practice consumes less energy and does not
        replace human work with machine work.

     - Our practices need to be sustainable and not just
        appear to be sustainable.  In today's modern
        world this is difficult, but we give it an honest
        effort and are happy to have your input and
        feedback.

     - We think it is important to educate our clients
        about their yards.  Over time, you may want to
        get more involved in your yard and we would like
        you to be well prepared for that journey.
